New Year's Resolution

Devil - Put It Back!

It is time for us to take back everything the devil has stolen from us.

Prophetically, the time is right and spiritually, the glory of the Lord is ready to come down like rain out of heaven ... it is time we activate our faith into works!

I realize some may not be fully aware how to use your faith and your authority against the forces of darkness that rule this world ------ and you may not know how to claim back from the enemy what is rightfully yours in the spirit realm. So, here is a true story told by Dr. Lester Sumrall that should help.

FYI:
Dr. Sumrall at 17 years old, recovered miraculously from tuberculosis. After losing most lifesigns (the doctor said he would be dead in 2 hours) he saw a vision of a coffin and the Bible. God asked him to preach The Gospel or he would be in that coffin in 2 hours. He remembers repenting of his sins and asking God to cleanse him and forgive him. It was at this point he was born again. Choosing to preach the Gospel he fell asleep and in the morning he had miraculously recovered. It was at this point he knew he was called by God to become a preacher.

Dr. Lester Sumrall years ago found himself in the middle of the Central American rain forest. As he went about his ministry in that region, he came across a witch doctor. In today's rock and roll Hollywood scene, this witch doctor would look like a normal man ... but, in those days, this was a pretty strange fellow! In one hand, the witch doctor would hold a bull frog (always a symbol of satanic power). In the other hand, a mixture of human blood and alcohol was placed in the frog's mouth. Then the witch doctor would dance, make satanic incantations and worship demon entities.

Fortunately, Dr. Sumrall wasn't raised in the modern-day school of humanistic, people-pleasing preachers. All Dr. Sumrall did was follow Jesus' biblical example. He placed his hands on the side of the witch doctor's head and said two words: Come out! The witch doctor fell over with a thud. When he returned to his feet, the witch doctor was born again and glorifying God.

Later, that night, Dr. Sumrall returned to his room to go to bed. Since it was warm, and without air conditioning, he decided to open the windows while he slept. As he lay down, a strange odor began to fill the room. Suddenly, all of the sultry heat of the night disappeared from the room. A damp chill filled the place. It was so cold, Dr. Sumrall began to shiver. A wind began to blow the curtains wildly on their rods. Then, the bed began to shake so violently that it moved all the way out into the middle of the floor.

Well, Dr. Sumrall had enough of this! He rose up on his bed and said, "You demon spirit, I recognize you. I cast you out earlier today. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, you go now!"  Immediately, the evil presence left the room. The heat returned. The curtains laid down against the wall, the bed stopped shaking. The horrible odor left the room. Now, most modern-day preachers would have written a book right there! They would have written seven books and told how the devil obeyed them ... but, that wasn't Dr. Sumrall. Instead, he rose back up in his bed, looked out the window and shouted, "Hey devil! Get back in here!

Immediately the curtains began to stick out on end as a wind rushed through the room. The coldness returned ... the smell returned ... the bed began to shake violently and almost shook him out of bed. Dr. Sumrall sat up in his bed and said "Devil ... When I came into this room my bed was against that wall. Now, in the name of Jesus, PUT IT BACK!" The bed went shaking back across the room and settled down against the wall. "Now," Dr. Sumrall ordered, "get out of here!"

Today is the day of restoration for us!

We are not to be content with just making the devil leave ... but we are going to tell him to PUT IT BACK and restore EVERYTHING that he has stolen from us!

Let us gather our horses and sharpen our swords of God's Word. Let us raise our banners and strike fear in the heart of our adversary ... Now it is time to invade the enemy's territory and take back everything that rightfully belongs to us. Let us raise high the blood-stained banner of the cross of Christ, and declare to the alien forces of the Antichrist, "Our God lives and is on His Throne and He Reigns!" Hallelujah!!

Let's Laugh!

Let’s Laugh!

Gen. 18:1-5

Abraham sees “three men” approaching – not realizing at the time it actually was The Lord and two angels. (It was only much later that Abraham realized who he was talking to.) Abraham greets the three men with supreme courtesy as he runs to meet them bowing low to the ground. He addresses one of them as “My Lord”, he refers to himself twice as their servant, and he urges them to stop and rest, while he goes to get water and bread for them – meaning he rushes into the tent to find his wife, Sarah, saying; “Quick! Three measures of best flour! Knead it and make cakes and roast the calf from my herd!”

Sarah does not speak. She remains on the outskirts of the action, hidden from the view of the men, as tradition dictated. So far, so good? Then suddenly the conversation becomes mysterious when one of the three men asks “Where is your wife Sarah?” How do they know her name? Abraham couldn’t have possibly known at this point that these men were The Lord with two angels - nevertheless he doesn’t seem surprised at all. “There in the tent”, he says, not wondering why his guests should inquire after his wife.

Now . . . we begin to think that Sarah might be closer to the centre of this story than many would have thought, even though we cannot see her, hidden away as she is in the tent.

Has God come about Sarah this time? Has the Lord who had paid Abraham so much attention now be turning His eyes to Sarah?

God – as one of the three – says; “I will surely return to you in due season, and your wife Sarah will have a son.” So, now the spotlight swings round, and for the first time it is Sarah who is caught in its beam.

“And Sarah was listening at the entrance behind Him. Now they were old, advanced in age, it had ceased to be with Sarah after the manner of women…So Sarah laughed to herself.”

Sarah had heard everything. What else could she do but laugh? . . . . Cry out? . . . Argue? . . . How could she do what she’d never done all her life? “Worn out as I am,” Sarah says.

Sarah had been waiting years and years to hear this news. And even now she has to overhear it. It’s only by accident that she learns that she will finally have the long desired baby…that she has her own contribution to make to Abraham’s heritage.

Her laughter is understandable. Sarah is past the time of child-bearing and the Bible gives a fairly broad hint that Abraham and Sarah’s physical relationship was ancient history. And, yet, the simple question was asked, " is anything too hard for God?"

Where is their faith? Where was their trust in God in the working of miracles? Have all their senses hardened and their hopes vanished in the decades of demands and disappointments?

And then all of a sudden Sarah is all ears, when she hears one of the Men say: “Why did Sarah laugh?” How could He have known her thoughts? Who were those Men? How did they know them?

And then Sarah brings herself out into the open. “I did not laugh,” she says, for she was afraid. And the Man simply responds: “Oh yes, you did laugh (and that’s ok!)

Contrary to what I have always heard about “Sarah laughing – i.e.; that she was laughing ‘at’ God in sarcasm and contempt → I love the fact that The Lord here didn’t reprimand her or blame her for having tried to hide her reaction to something she took as amusing enough to bring her laughter and, probably, brought a lightness to her weary soul. He only confirms that she has laughed.

Sarah tries to withdraw her laughter, but The Lord is not having any of that! . . . . He tells her that the son who is to be born to her will be called Isaac – which is Hebrew for “God laughs”.

Laughter was what changed Sarah’s whole life.

Praying 'in Jesus' Name'

I've been reading a book by Ray Stedman - Secrets of the Spirit - that has really been a great delight to me and I wanted to pass along to you a section of it. Hope you will indulge me as the only real encouragement I know is from God's Word.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Jn. 14:13-14
(Amplified Bible)
"And I will do [I Myself will grant] whatever you ask in My Name [as presenting all that I AM], so that the Father may be glorified and extolled in (through) the Son. [Yes] I will grant [I Myself will do for you] whatever you shall ask in My Name [as presenting all that I AM]."
 What does this mean, then? Surely the words of Jesus are not without meaning. What is the limitation here? If you examine it you find only one, "Ask anything whatsoever in my name and it shall be done."
What does that mean, "in my name"? Somehow again, in a superficial approach to these ideas of Scripture, some think they have fulfilled this when they tack on at the end of a prayer, "This we ask in Jesus' name" -- as a kind of magic formula, like rubbing Aladdin's lamp so that the "genie" of God will suddenly appear and do all that we ask! Now, I have no objection to people adding those words. I do it myself. But there are many prayers with those words tacked onto the end which are not prayed in Jesus' name at all.
To add those words does not make it a prayer in Jesus' name. God is not impressed with this kind of trivia. I think of our Lord's teaching about prayer in the Sermon on the Mount where he says, "Don't pray like the hypocrites do, thinking that you impress God with your endless repetition," (Matt 6:5-7).
Prayer is not magic. What, then, does "in Jesus' name" mean? I've been given some difficult and painful lessons on what this means! I think God teaches us through our experiences, as we go on through life, to give us deeper and deeper insight into what these phrases mean. I had thought that praying in Jesus' name meant praying for the things he wants accomplished, the ends he wishes to achieve, the desires which he says are his will. And it does mean that; that is not wrong. But I thought you could pray to prevent certain things, and to attain others, and that we had an ability somehow to control the process by which these things come to pass. I have learned that this is not the case. I prayed for weeks, with all my heart, that something wouldn't happen, but one day it did happen, in spite of my prayer. So what do you do with your prayer in a case like that? And what do you do with the promise?
I learned that "in Jesus' name" means to pray in his place. That is the way we use the phrase, isn't it? If someone acts in the name of the president, it is as though he is standing in the president's place. If you give someone the power to act in your name, for that purpose it is as though you yourself were acting. When you sign your name on a check, that check is acting on your behalf, as though it were you.
To pray in Jesus' name means to stand in Jesus' place. And where was Jesus standing when he said these words? ............ Facing the cross ............ Facing the collapse of all the hope that his kingdom had raised in the hearts of his disciples. Facing the end, the apparent collapse and failure of all of his work and all of his program. But he knew that beyond the cross lay the resurrection, and that there could never be that new beginning if there were not first an end of all which the others saw and hoped for. I think that if these disciples were praying for anything, and I'm sure they were, they were praying that somehow he would be spared, that somehow he would not have to go to the cross. They were praying to prevent it. But Jesus knew that it had to be.
And to pray in Jesus' name means that you accept the process of God, the process by which he brings matters, often, to utter collapse, so that the very thing you don't want to ever happen, happens. But that is not the end of the story! Beyond it is a resurrection. Beyond it is a new beginning, a beginning of such different quality that the mind moves into an ecstasy of joy in contemplating it. That is what it means to pray in Jesus' name.
That is why, when we pray, it often seems as though God waits until the very last moment to answer our prayer. That is why he doesn't stop the process long before the heartache and pain comes, but allows it to go on into death -- and out of the death comes resurrection. And to pray in Jesus' name means that you consent to that process, and that you are aware that prayer is not merely a shield, a guard, to prevent things from happening. Sometimes it is, but not always.
Prayer is also a commitment to undergo the end and the collapse and the failure. But that is never the end of the story. It is by this means that the greater works shall be accomplished. It is only out of death that life comes. This is what God teaches us through the Scriptures. This is why one day he had to say to Abraham, "Take your son Isaac, your only son, your beloved son, and offer him up as a sacrifice." And Abraham had to go through with it. It was only as the knife was poised in his hand, ready to plunge into the breast of his son, that God stopped him, (see Gen. 22:1-12). The book of Hebrews says that Abraham received his son back as though it were a resurrection -- out of death comes life (Heb. 11:19).
That is what it means to pray in Jesus' name.........It may mean, therefore, the collapse of all that you hoped for. BUT out of that collapse, out of the tears, out of the heartbreak - God will bring new life. From the cross to resurrection!
How can it be?
On speaking terms with GOD!
How magnificent!
As I had been talking to God this morning about some of the crisis things that needed His immediate attention and that He didn’t seem to be paying attention − my prayer came to an abrupt halt as I began watching the History channel trying to explain some of the phenomena’s of this Earth and our galaxy.
The Earth’s galaxy – is saucer shaped; 100,000 light yrs. long / 16,000 light yrs. wide [FYI: light travels 186,000 mi. per second]
The Earthis tilted on its ‘axis’ to give the different seasons.
The Earth’s Sun – is 93,000,000 miles from the Earth − taking Earth 365 days [traveling at 64,800 mi. per hr.] to complete its rotation around the Sun while ‘gravity’ is holding in its orbit.
The Earth’s Sun – is a raging inferno of heat giving off 4,200,000 tons of mass per second. One sq. yd. of the Sun gives off 70,000 H.P of energy continuously [FYI: The Sun at 864,000 mi. in diameter has 10,000 times more sq. yds. than the Earth with 8,000 mi. in diameter].
·         If we could buy the ‘energy’ the Sun gives off for a 24 hr. period paying the average per price of 12¢ per kWh with silver dollars − it would cover the surface of the U.S.  over 5 miles high;  and, there would still be enough energy left in the Sun to last some 30 billion more years!
There are 100 billion stars/suns in the Earth’s galaxy – with trillions of other galaxies → all operating to perfection.
Then I thought . . oh, Wait −A – Minute! . . I’m talking to GOD . . . the One who is the Creator of all this magnificent universe − and due to the pressures of this life . .  I’m finding myself actually having a ‘face-off’ with Him?  . . .  How dare I? Forgiveness was asked. Forgiveness was given. We’re back on speaking terms
Friday . . Saturday . . SUNDAY!
The rest of the story…..
Satan is lolling indolently in rebellious pride on his gruesome, stinking throne of death basking in the admiration of the other demon-angels. Satan, the devil, gloats and brags in front of his devils how he has killed the Son of God.
A far off rumble catches their attention and as it draws closer they start to cringe away in fear; "It’s the Royal Chariot!" one demon whispers; “Look at the driver; it’s the second man on the cross. We killed him when we killed Jesus!”
Their bulging eyes plainly say what their mouth is afraid to; “Satan, why didn’t you lock all three of them up in that place called death; you found the man on the cross who railed on Jesus easy enough to put away?”
The chariot furiously thunders to a sliding stop and Jesus steps out.
But it is a different Jesus this time.
He is no longer the Forsaken One because on His head is the royal diadem of the greatest - the eternal King, and upon His breast is the ephod of the great High Priest.
Jesus had left His staff of mercy leaning casually against the flaming chariot. No mercy would be shown these fallen ones.
True enough, it is the Lamb as it had been slain but this time Jesus radiates danger and power as He strides toward the shrinking, horrified devils.
No explanation is given and none is needed when His cold ringing voice speaks: “Give me the keys of hell and death, now!”
With lowered head and averted eyes; with craven, drooling, servitude Satan hands over the keys.
The Royal Chariot thunders away!
(Rev. 1:18;1 Peter 3:18-21; Ephesians 4:7-10;Matthew 16:19)
Ok, it's SATURDAY . . but Sunday's comin'
The Night BEFORE Easter
The night was so different from all the rest
  And a silence covers the Earth;
The stars have no glimmer,
  the moon tries to hide,
For in death lies the man of their birth.
In a room filled with sorrow, a mother cries
  For Jesus, her Son now is gone;
Her child sent from heaven was taken away,
  Heart broken she feels all alone.
   At the feet of his mother a little boy cries
   Saying, 'momma, I don't understand;
    I remember the look of love in His eyes,
     That I saw,
      just by the touch of His hand.'
The King of all ages, the Giver of life,
For a moment lies silent and still;
But a power sent from heaven comes breaking the night,
And death must bow to His will.
Then .  . a stone moves,
      the Earth shakes,
        birds start singing,
The sun .  . shines
    the Earth .  . warms,
        new life it's bringing;
A little boy .  . stops crying,
    a mother .  . is smiling,
For death could not hold their King!
It might be SATURDAY  .  .
But Sunday's still comin'
April 6, 2012
I remember . . .
Some of my best childhood memories are from Easter time. It was always a big deal, the week previous to Easter Sunday, to go out with my Mom and shop together for our Easter ‘outfit’. That meant a dress (the frillier the better!), a pair of shoes and with purse to match, and of course, a hat and gloves. I don’t recall it being a time to try to ‘out-shine’ or ‘out-do’ the other girls at church with my outfit, but, I remember it as special time that we put our new spring outfit and went to church to celebrate Easter Sunday with the rest of our church family, to laugh and have good time hunting Easter eggs in our backyard, and, of course, eating together as a family a delicious ham with all the trimming. As a child, it meant that it was time to put away the coats and winter clothes and bring out the colorful, light-weight summer clothes – it meant that school was just about over and summer vacation was just about to begin!
As I grew older, I remember more of the Easter services with those wonderful ‘live’ re-creations of the Crucifixion story and taking Communion at the end of the service, by the light of candles. For me, it was always a stirring and emotional time to see and feel what Jesus went through for my salvation.
Now that I am much older  .  .  I fully understand everything in my life that I hold dear, I have because of what Jesus Christ did for me on the cross that Friday AND on that spectacular Sunday that He rose from the grave! I comprehend  the completeness of what it means to serve a RISEN SAVIOR who has made available to me a fresh, clean, new beginning to this life and a sure promise of a 'next life' that is beyond this world! I’m looking forward to that time when I meet Him face to face.
Face to face with Christ, my Savior,
Face to face—what will it be?
When with rapture I behold Him,
Jesus Christ who died for me.
Face to face I shall behold Him,
Far beyond the starry sky;
Face to face in all His glory,
I shall see Him by and by!
Only faintly now, I see Him,
With the darkling veil between,
But a blessed day is coming,
When His glory shall be seen.
What rejoicing in His presence,
When are banished grief and pain;
When the crooked ways are straightened,
And the dark things shall be plain.
Face to face! O blissful moment!
Face to face—to see and know;
Face to face with my Redeemer,
Jesus Christ who loves me so.
Hey, this machine doesn't work!
Matt. 7:11
If you then, evil as you are, know how to give good and advantageous gifts to your children, how much more will your Father Who is in heaven [perfect as He is] give good and advantageous things to those who keep on asking Him!
At one time or another, we've all experienced those tricky vending machines where you're supposed to drop your coins in the slot, push your selection button; and out comes your pop or candy .  . thinking 'you do your part, it does its part and everybody’s happy'. Except when it doesn't do its part .  .  the vending machine “eats” your coin and you find yourself tapping, pounding, kicking or otherwise inducing it to respond the way you expected. Sometimes it coughs up the product and sometimes you walk away with neither your coins nor treats, brimming with utter frustration. We won’t waste our time anymore on a machine that doesn’t act the way it should.
In like manner, do we have the mistaken idea that God operates as some kind of a spiritual VENDING MACHINE where if we simply put in our coins of prayer, fasting, Bible reading, tithing, going to church, honesty, being nice, etc. and, then, when we push the 'faith' button .  .  out should come the gifts and favor we paid for? But, when we don't get what we 'paid for', we say 'Hey, this machine doesn't work!'.
Or should we take Him on His Word that He loves us beyond measure and has already seen to it that the 'price' has been paid - and we can come to Him with a clear conscience that we are His child!
We Prefer Swine
Mark 5:1-20
15And they came to Jesus and looked intently and searchingly at the man who had been a demoniac, sitting there, clothed and in his right mind, [the same man] who had had the legion [of demons]; and they were seized with alarm and struck with fear.
16And those who had seen it related in full what had happened to the man possessed by demons and to the hogs
.
17And they began to beg [Jesus] to leave their neighborhood.
John Oxenham's poem: Gadara, A.D. 31
Rabbi, begone! Thy powers
Bring loss to us and ours.
Our ways are not as Thine.
Thou lovest men, we . . swine
Oh, get you hence, Omnipotence,
And take this fool of Thine!
His soul? What care we for his soul?
What good to us that Thou hast made him whole,
Since we have lost our swine?
And Christ went sadly.He had wrought for them a sign
Of Love, and Hope, and Tenderness divine;
They wanted . . swine.
Christ stands without your door and gently knocks;
But if your gold, or swine, the entrance blocks,
He forces no man's hold . . he will depart,
And leave you to the treasures of your heart.
No cumbered chamber will the Master share,
But one swept bare
By cleansing fires, then plenished fresh and fair
With meekness, and humility, and prayer.
There will He come, yet, coming, even there
He stands and waits, and will no entrance win
Until the latch be lifted from within.
Rejoice
that by the power of the Holy Spirit
you may abound and be overflowing
(BUBBLING OVER) with HOPE.
Fruit Loops
Prov. 18:20-21
A man's [moral] self shall be filled with the FRUIT of his mouth;
[FRUIT = reveals who/what you really are]
and with the consequence [the harvest of the FRUIT] of his words he must be satisfied [whether good or evil].
Death and life are in the power of the tongue [the FRUIT of your mouth],
and they who indulge in it shall eat the FRUIT of it [for death or life].
How to be a SURVIVOR winner......
How to be a SURVIVOR winner......
I Pet. 5:8
Be well balanced (temperate, SOBER of mind),
be VIGILANT and [be] CAUTIOUS at all times;
[why?]
for that enemy of yours, the devil, roams around like a lion roaring [in fierce hunger], seeking someone to seize upon and devour.
------------------------------
Be sober
= not intoxicated on the cares of life.
Be vigilant = always alert.
Be cautious = aware of the warning signs.
We're in a battle of life and death whether we like it or not . . . the question is: "Do we want to just survive or do we want to win?
Satisfied with what you're GETTING?
Lk. 6: 38
Give, and it [what you gave] will be given to you;
good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over, will they pour into [the pouch formed by] the bosom [of your robe and used as a bag].
For with the measure you deal out [with the measure you use when you confer benefits on others],
it [what you gave out] will be measured back to you.
Consider what we GIVE:
    Mercy or Judgement
    Grace or Intolerance
    Kindness or Harshness
Satisfied with what you're GETTING?
It has everything to do with what you're GIVING.
[Earnestly] remember the former things, [which I did] of old;
for I AM God, and there is no one else; I AM God, and there is none like Me,
Declaring [clearly stating] the end [conclusion]
and the result [consequence] from the beginning [before it happens],
and from ancient times the things that are not yet done,
saying, My counsel shall stand [it will happen], and I WILL DO all My pleasure and purpose. [nothing can stop it]
SING! . . . . at midnight
Acts 16: 24-26
Paul and Silas were put into the inner prison (the dungeon) and they fastened their feet in the stocks.
But about MIDNIGHT, as Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns of praise to God,
and the [other] prisoners were listening to them,
SUDDENLY there was a great earthquake, so that the very foundations of the prison were shaken;
and AT ONCE all the doors were opened and everyone's shackles were unfastened.
------------------------------------------
Confident in their Savior, they CHOSE to pray praises and sing praises while chained to the wall in a dungeon at midnight [the lowest hour in the dead of night].
Our choice of attitude makes the difference in what we allow God to do.
1 Kgs. 19:11-13
And He said, Go out and stand on the mount before the Lord.
And behold, the Lord passed by,
and a great and strong wind rent the mountains and broke in pieces the rocks before the Lord,
but the Lord was not in the wind;
and after the wind an earthquake, but the Lord was not in the earthquake;
And after the earthquake a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire;
and after the fire [a sound of gentle stillness and] a STILL, SMALL VOICE.
When Elijah heard the voice, ..........he wrapped his face in his mantle and went out and stood in the entrance of the cave. [in reverent awe before the presence of the Lord].
If it takes ALL NIGHT-----wait on the Lord!
Ex. 14:21-22
Then Moses stretched out his hand over the sea, [in prayer]
and the Lord caused the sea to go back by a strong east wind ALL THAT NIGHT
and made the sea dry land; and the waters were divided.
And the Israelites went into the midst of the sea on dry ground, the waters being a wall to them on their right hand and on their left.
Need the SEA to part?
Need the SEA to part?
Ex. 14: 10,13-14
When Pharaoh drew near, the Israelites looked up, and behold, the Egyptians were marching after them;
and the Israelites were exceedingly frightened and cried out to the Lord.
Moses told the people, FEAR NOT;
 STAND STILL (firm, confident, undismayed)
AND SEE the salvation of the Lord which He will work for you today. For the Egyptians you have seen today you shall never see again.
The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace and remain at rest.
------------------------------
Two things to do to receive the promise:
1. Fear not - resist doubt
2. Stand still - after you've done all you know to do
The Promise:
To see (witness) the salvation (protection and deliverance) of the Lord.
The Day All Hell Broke Loose
The Day All Hell Broke Loose
Matt. 27:45-54Now from the sixth hour (noon) there was darkness over all the land until the ninth hour (three o'clock).
And about the ninth hour (three o'clock) Jesus cried with a loud voice, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani?--that is, My God, My God, why have You abandoned Me [leaving Me helpless, forsaking and failing Me in My need]?
And Jesus cried again with a loud voice and gave up His spirit.
And at once the curtain of the sanctuary of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom; the earth shook and the rocks were split.
The tombs were opened and many bodies of the saints who had fallen asleep in death were raised [to life].
CONVINCED! ! ! ! !
CONVINCED!!!!!
Phil. 1:6
''And I AM CONVINCED and sure of this very thing,
that He Who began a good work in you
will continue until the day of Jesus Christ [right up to the time of His return],
developing [that good work] and perfecting and bringing it to full completion in you.''
-----------------------------
CONFIDENT = very sure; fully persuaded
Confidence in ourselves eventually brings doubts.
Confidence in God brings the devil to his knees.
God opens the door. . . . WIDE!
God opens the door. . . . WIDE!
     and no one is able to shut it!
Rev. 3:8-10
''I know your [record of] works and what you are doing.
See! I have set before you a door wide open which no one is able to shut;
I know that you have but little power,
and yet you have kept My Word and guarded My message
and have not renounced or denied My name.
Because......... you have guarded and kept My word of patient endurance
[have held fast the lesson of My patience with the expectant endurance that I give you],
I also will keep you [safe] from the hour of trial (testing) which is coming on the whole world to try those who dwell upon the earth.''
-----------------------------
Guarding and keeping God's Word will enable you to see and to step through the door HE has set before you.
Begin your day with this ONE THING
Begin your day with this ONE THING
Phil. 3:13-14
''...........ONE THING I do [it is my one aspiration]:
forgetting what lies behind
and straining forward to what lies ahead,
I press on toward the goal to win the [supreme and heavenly] prize
to which God in Christ Jesus is calling us upward.''
You know about your yesterday's (what's behind you) but, God knows about your tomorrow's (what's before you ).
TRUST HIM!
